Summary:
The Director of Business Development, Healthcare Sector role is a highly visible sales generation position focused on the discovery, tracking, development and closure of strategic business opportunities specific to the delivery of cross-divisional products and services by our client’s group of companies.
Well-qualified candidates must possess a quantifiable history of driving security and/or related solutions sales into the healthcare segment via end user/owners, developers, general contractors, property management firms and other key influencers. One must possess a comprehensive understanding of the specific market demands and drivers within the healthcare segment, including Group Purchasing Organizations (GPO), as well as a keen understanding of the competitive solutions market, including tangible expertise in executing winning channel strategies. Qualified candidates must be skilled at navigating highly complex cooperative selling environments, possess excellent knowledge of demand generation and bid/award/aftermarket services and selling processes, strong interpersonal communication skills, and a strong sense of integrity coupled with superb organizational and time management skills. Candidates must have a proven track record of organizing winning sales strategies and possess great customer-facing presentation skills.
The primary purpose of the role is to create and collaborate both within and external to the organization to identify and close incremental business opportunities for the sales of Physical Security, Access Control and PropTech solutions suites within the Healthcare segment.
Well-qualified candidates must demonstrate a proven track record of self-generated strategic sales successes within the complementary security integration solutions services (Access Control, Video, Intrusion, Fire, Emergency Communications, Network Infrastructure, etc.) and/or the architectural hardware distribution industries, with a keen ability to navigate highly complex cooperative selling environments.
Essential Functions:
Develop, prioritize and maintain a strategic Target Account portfolio within the Healthcare vertical sector.
Collaborate closely with local and regional corporate resources to identify, develop and close high-value cross-pollination opportunities within the sector.
Self-generate incremental cross-pollination business opportunities for collaboration with the local and regional corporate resources.
Actively call upon and educate/train prospective customers and partners in the segment, to acquire a deep understanding of their specific needs including project identification, execution timelines, budgetary objectives and solutions performance expectations.
Coordinate inter-company resource participation as required for efficient bid response and tracking project development and deployment stages.
Be proficient at delivering the collaborative and cross-divisional messaging and initiatives.
Proficient use of CRM and internal quote tracking tools as required.
Maintain relationships with key segment influencers in the market for project discovery and development.
Qualified candidates must be experienced with system design and construction management processes.
Possess a successful track record of consultative relationship-building with major decision makers and influencers within the vertical segment.
Strong customer relations skills coupled with strong verbal and written communication skills.
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum 7 years of physical security experience and performance selling/delivering complex solutions specifically in the Healthcare vertical market segment.
Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent combination of education/experience.
