Job Description

Our client is one of the world's most highly regarded providers of unified security platform software solutions with a comprehensive product portfolio to protect people and assets; providing innovative security products that include advanced tracking, sensing and communications solutions. 

 

Building on over 50 years of success, the Business Development Manager will expand and drive new relationships in the Cannabis Vertical market.  The BDR will use outbound prospecting strategies to identify prospects, conduct initial outreach, qualify and promote to a lead, and fill the pipeline for closure with the Account Executive team.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

-  Analyze market reports for key segments and verticals to determine where to seek out new business

-  Conduct outbound prospecting for “New Logo” Business-to-Business (B2B) entities

-  Use scalable and repeatable prospecting strategies / techniques to lead initial outreach to prospects

-  Identify and qualify prospects with respect to budget, authority, need, and timing

-  Conduct customer sales presentations / product demos as required

-  Update CRM / pipeline with accurate and timely information with respect to a qualified lead

-  Schedule discovery meetings with Account Executives and qualified leads with proper planning, execution, and follow-through

-  Track activity-based metrics and sales targets for reporting to senior leaders

-  Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual sales forecasts

-  Suggest and implement improvements in the sales administration process

-  Aggregate “Voice of Customer” feedback to generate ideas about new features or products

-  Discover and communicate methods to increase customer engagement

-  Ensure Sales, Finance and Legal policies and procedures are compliant with our business standards

-  Liaise with Marketing to ensure value proposition conveyance and brand consistency

-  Liaise with Product Management to maintain technical awareness of products

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

-  Bachelor’s degree required

-  5 years plus of BDR experience

-  Domain expertise in Electronic Security, Financial Segments, and/or Retail Segments a plus

-  “Hunter” competencies

-  Strong communication, written, and interpersonal skills

-  Proficiency in technical tools (CRM, Microsoft Office Suite)

-  Time management skills a must
