Our client designs and builds large capital equipment. Due to a strong and well executed business plan as well as rapid growth they are currently seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer. This company is a true world leader in their field and is one of a handful of companies that compete globally. Each system is one of a kind and custom designed for each of their clients. The ideal candidate for this opportunity will have experience with Mechanical engineering for large capital equipment.

Requirements:
Requirements: 1. Work on producing engineering designs following the customer specifications Work on the standardization of existing products, in order to help facilitate the company’s ongoing continuous improvement efforts. 2. Work on new product development efforts and on the improvement of existing products 3. Fully comply with the company’s ISO quality requirements. 4. Embrace and help facilitate all of the company’s ongoing lean manufacturing initiatives 5. Participate in various continuous improvement activities related to the company’s products and work processes. 6. Assist the Engineering Manager in other areas of the company’s operations, to the extent required (such as assisting the Purchasing Manager in specifying new materials or component parts). 7. Seek to keep labor time on those tasks or under the amount of time budgeted for those tasks 8. Record at least 2 non-conformances, employee suggestions and/or customer complaints per quarter 9. Participate in at least 1 kaizen or 6S event during each quarter

QUALIFICATIONS: • MECHANICAL DESIGN ENGINEER – Mechanical Engineer capable of leading a project and directing designers and drafts people. o • knowledgeable in fabrication, manufacturing and the application of power transmission products • Ability to develop and design from verbal concepts and sketches • High level proficiency with Solidworks and AutoCAD, stress analysis by hand or through software based programs • Bachelors degree in Engineering and at least 10-15 years working in an engineering role • PE qualification.
