National Sales Director

Job Description:
For nearly 20 years, our client has been providing innovative security systems with a focus on large office and commercial facilities. Now part of one of the world’s largest secure solutions companies with operations in over 107 countries, they are seeking to add a National Sales Director. In addition to traditional integrated security systems, their flagship product is a revolutionary web based building solutions technology that allows all security components to be fully integrated to run on a single communications network from a single database: An ASP suite of more than 27 web-based applications for Building and Facilities Managers with over 1 Million Registered users. This software drives building systems and processes and provides real-time interactive communication between Property Management, Tenants, Security, Engineering, Leasing and Vendors. With a single database that is backed up off site, critical information is accessible. The person chosen for this position will report to the Sr. VP responsible for Sales and Software Engineering and perform both an operational and a strategic role:

Requirements:
Operational Duties • Refine and blend the current Sales Organization of 15 into a high performance team including Vertical Sector expertise • Drive Sales productivity by maintaining day-to-day detailed knowledge of corporate-wide sales activity • Take the lead in developing and executing high value / strategic sales opportunities • Provide proactive leadership, management and coaching to the Sales Department • Create and present formal monthly and quarterly reports of sales status to include detailed funnel reports. Strategic Duties • Develop short, medium and long-term action plans which support overall strategic goals • Identify and develop new vertical markets • Evaluate the current Sales organization structure and approach and suggest improvements . Job Requirements • The ideal candidate will have sales experience in both a large, well-respected software house, and a smaller, more entrepreneurial software company: perhaps a start-up. They will have overachieved as Sales people and led a Sales organization. • A solid understanding of current software technology and familiarity with complex electronic devices is required.
